Cantina Avanti is a working class space to rekindle the flame of self-emancipation and mutual aid.
The working class movement creates its spaces for socialising, self-education and organisation of struggle. From taverns in the docklands to communal kitchens in neighbourhoods to inner-city street corners. We take inspirations from the Case del Popolo in Italy or the new Independent Labor Clubs in the USA.
We come from different political backgrounds within the working class left. What we share is the idea that we, as workers and comrades, need spaces for spirited chats and open debates. We feel that there is a lack of such spaces in Bristol. We are looking forward to hanging out with you and to your ideas and contributions.
